This Budding Talents Flower School Workshop is truly a fundamental. We teach one of the most ancient of flower-arranging skills: how to make a tussie-mussie. This style of nosegays or posies dates from the 1500's and is deeply linked to Floriography or The Language of flowers. You will make two tussie mussies: one to keep and one to give to someone to whom you would like to send a message in the Language of Flowers. Our Language of Flowers and Tussie Mussie Booklet is also included.
For our April Budding Talents Workshop, you will go deep into the Foraged look which is very current. Heavier on greenery, fresh from the garden picked, featuring a variety of foliage and flowers. We'll show you how to create a spring colours centrepiece and how to create a generous gridded, seasonal, foraged bouquet in a clear, glass, open-throated vase. Vase, greenery, flowers included.
Tablescaping is a foundational skill for flower arrangers. For this Budding Talents Workshop you will learn how to tablescape with garlands and bud vases. Create an Italian Ruscus garland along with three bud vases filled with line, mass and filler flowers with greenery. Perfect for a summer party.
For every month of our monthly Budding Talents Flower School, we create an arrangement to develop specific, flower-arranging techniques. For November, it is a shapes workshop: triangles, asymmetricals and sydneys. You will make a make a romantic free-form Sydneys arrangement. Lush and large, it is a statement centrepiece that gives a wild and free feeling. Ceramic oval vessel, flowers, foliage all included.
