Assessment to Ballpark Estimate
Our Design, Build & Renovate (DBR) service begins with an assessment. This assessment, including an on-site visit to the garden with your designer, photos and a ballpark estimate, is $100CAD plus tax. The consultation fee becomes a credit on your implementation project. We focus on low-maintenance, drought resistant choices, innovative colour-blocking techniques, succession of bloom using long-blooming, repeat blooming flowering shrubs and perennials, evergreens and ornamental trees. We also specialize in making suggestions and implementing steps toward beautifying your garden accents and improving your hardscaping.
We do our best to reuse existing materials to be environmentally conscious. If the Ballpark Estimate meets your needs, a 30% deposit is required to move to the Design Review stage.
Design Review
Once you have green-lighted the Ballpark Estimate, your garden designer creates a detailed plan of the design usually within two weeks. Sketches include detailed plant lists, garden decor, stones and photos. A deposit of an additional 30% is required once the Design Review is approved. With a total of a 60% deposit, installation of your new design advances to implementation. We do our best to ensure that from assessment to implementation is only 4 to 6 weeks.
Implementation
During implementation, we start on the day we tell you (weather permitting), tidy up everyday and keep you informed at every step of the process of our progress. Any changes that exceed the estimate require a documented change order from our team. The installation deposit of 35% is required on the day the project is completed, Payment must be guaranteed with a credit card even if you decide to pay by e-transfer or cheque. The final 5% is paid only after the Site Inspection ensures your satisfaction.
Warranty
Plants are guaranteed for 90 days only if a working irrigation method is in place. We provide healthy plants, well-planted using the wet-to-wet method with root booster in the correct sun exposure. After that…it is up to you! Your renovated beds and borders require twice a week deep watering for six weeks post installation. Subsequent to that critical first six weeks, plants need weekly, adequate hydration, monthly fertilizing and routine deadheading and plant care.
